Sustainability

Recyclable materials are resources in transition. Our role is to help them find their next purpose.

The Circular Economy

In a linear model, materials are extracted, used and discarded. A circular economy instead aims to keep materials circulating: recovered, reprocessed and returned to productive use.

Recyclable metals are particularly well suited to this model. Steel alone is the most recycled material in the world, and metals can be recovered and reprocessed again and again without losing their core properties. Scrap trading is one of the links that connects those who generate material with those who can reprocess it.

The Value of Metal Recycling

Repeatable recycling

Many metals can be recycled again and again while retaining their core properties.

Resource conservation

Recovered metal can reduce the need for primary extraction of raw materials.

Circular material flows

Trading keeps materials moving toward their next productive use.

Responsible Resource Trading

We believe responsible trading means being open about materials and terms, moving resources efficiently, and encouraging good handling and sorting practices across the supply chain.

Our Commitment

As MRS Trading grows, we aspire to strengthen responsible practices in everything we do, encouraging better sorting, clearer material information and partnerships that keep resources in productive use.

Tell us what material you have to sell and we'll get back to you.
